‘Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”’ Matthew 28:18-20
BCEC has a significant focus in Missions. We believe that God has called us to serve the local community as well as other countries. We send our own into the missions field for short and long term, support many long-term missionaries around the world, partner with many worldwide and local agencies, as well as dedicating financial resources to Missions.
Long Term Missionaries
Over 35 years, BCEC has supported many long term missionaries as well as sending members to the missions field around the world, preaching the word of God and discipling others. We provide prayer, financial assistance as well as sending short-term teams to our long-term missionaries. Currently, we are supporting over 30 missionaries in the following countries: East Asia, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines, Thailand, North Africa, Israel, and the US.
To learn more about how you can pray and support our missionaries, please contact the Missions Committee members.
Short Term Missions
“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Romans 10: 14-15
Short-term missions is a great tool for discipleship. It provides opportunities to be trained, learn important aspects of ministry, to be the hands and feet of Jesus, and to support the work of our missionaries. It also provides members valuable spiritual lessons and be stretched in their faith. We partner with our missionaries, local churches, and Christian agencies. We offer exploration and training sessions to prepare them for the trip. By serving the spiritual and material impoverished, God will open participants’ eyes to the needs of the world and learn how to partner with God in His work of global evangelism.
The map above shows the countries we have sent short-term missions teams in the past 20+ years. If you are interested in participating in short-term missions, please contact Lorraine Ho.

Annual Missions Conference
The Annual Missions Conference is a great way to learn what God is doing around the world and how we can participate in His work. Each November, the Mission Committee organizes a weekend of programs to educate our members on missions. The conference features outside speakers and our missionaries.
