  • What’s New in BCEC

    🚀 Our New Church Website is FINALLY Live!
    Our redesigned website (based on feedback from you) has many new features, including a calendar subscription so that you can stay up to date. With a fresh look, easier navigation, and mobile-friendly interface, this new website will help the whole BCEC community quickly find and share the info you’re looking for.

    New Anonymous Online Giving feature has recently been added to our BCEC website giving platform. It allows donors who prefer to give quietly, without their names being tied to the offering. A receipt confirming the anonymous giving may be downloaded after the transaction is submitted. Please contact the Treasurer Deacon at bod.treasurer@bcec.net if you have any questions.

    Baptism is a ceremony where a Christian publicly declares his/her faith in obedience to Christ. Our next baptism will be on September 14, 2025. The application can be downloaded here. Application deadline is August 17, 2025.

    UPDATE/PRAISE: Praise God – we have identified the two new Vision Team members, who have agreed to serve on the Vision Team.  

    PRAYER: Pray that God would continue to grant the Vision team wisdom and unity as they continue to develop the church’s core unified Values.

    Chinatown Campus News

    Young Adult Retreat 2025 is September 19-21! You can register at https://tinyurl.com/yar25. Registration ends on September 7. Details can be found in the link. If you have any questions, please reach out to Ryan So.

    Recruiting PDAS Counselors Want to build life-giving relationships and make a difference to youth in our neighborhood? Come be a mentor and homework helper at BCEC’s Chinatown after school outreach, Project Destiny Autumn to Spring! PDAS exists to connect local youths in grades 6-12 with a loving Christian community through homework help and mentoring while sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are open on school days Tues-Fri 3:15-6:15pm. We are looking for Christian adults, college and older, to receive training and serve as counselors for one or more afternoons a week.     Children’s Sunday School Are you passionate about sharing God’s love with the next generation? Do you have a heart for children and a desire to help them grow in their faith? We are looking for a teacher to teach a small group of 6 and 7 year old children to start teaching this September. Classes run from 11am to 12:30pm every Sunday. Volunteers should be baptized believers and preferably members. Please contact Lorraine Ho if interested.

    Water Damage Repair at 120 Shawmut We appreciate your prayers and concern regarding the recent storms damage. Repairs are underway to fix the roof leaks and restore the affected areas on the third floor. Thankfully, insurance will cover the costs. For any questions, please contact the facility staff.

    Cross-Campus Group Updates

    Alpha will again be held on Friday evenings at Newton campus this September thru December. Alpha is a multi-week course that creates a space for friends to have a conversation about faith, life and God. It includes dinner, video, and discussion.     If you would like to explore the Christian faith, please save your fall Fridays. Please consider and pray for friends that might be interested in an opportunity like Alpha.

    Community groups for 2025 are launching, including some new options!

    Friday Night Bible Study is on pause until Fall 2025. For many of our small groups, June marked the final month of regular meetings. During the summer, we take a break from studies and instead gather for fun activities and fellowship.  

    Newton English College Group will meet on the first and third Sundays of every month. The meetings will be held at 12:45pm in Room 206. For more details, please reach out to Eric Chan

  • Parking Reminders

    Chinatown Campus Sunday Parking
    Please do not park in the 120 Shawmut parking lot on Sundays, as it is reserved for staff and guest speakers only. Parking is available at the Herald Street Garage for those with a valid parking permit. Temporary parking passes are available at all welcome tables. 

    Newton Campus Parking 
    Please do not park at the Trio lot, as unauthorized vehicles parked there will be towed. Please be mindful when parking on the streets to not block any driveways. Also, the staff parking lot on Sundays is for staff and guest speakers only.
